What is The Tall Ships Races?

Organized by Sail Training International, The Tall Ships Races bring together traditional sail training vessels and young people from around the world to build seamanship, teamwork, and international friendship.

Under race regulations, at least half the trainee crew on each vessel must be between 15 and 25 years of age. Berths for sailors over 25 are also available on most legs. No prior sailing experience is required; all crew members stand regular watches and take part in sail handling and ship routines.

A valid passport or national identity card is required for all international legs. Participants under 18 require written guardian consent.
